Well, Chase had his first doctors appointments today. First he went to the Phoenix Children's Hospital to see his cardiologist. The doctor there was amazing and very informative. We learned that his valves are in great shape along with everything else except the wall that supposed to separate the four chambers of the heart.  The defect is called AV Canal or AVSD. It is the most common of all heart problems seen in babies with Trisomy 21.  He will have to have open heart surgery to complete the walls that did not grow together when he is about 6 months old.

He  has gained 4 oz and grown a half of an inch since he has come home four days ago.  He now weighs 6 lbs 2 oz and he is 18 1/2 inches long.  He goes back to the pediatrician in a few days.  His weight is in the 50%, his height is in the 25% and his head is only 13 in and in the 5%.  Not like our Jocelyn who was never below the 96% in anything ever.  He is still really small and very cute but he has the lungs of a two year old and can cry like the best of them.  He does not like to be undressed or have his diaper changed and will let you know it too.

This evening Missy also had time to go through clothes that some amazing friends brought us! She found lots of fun stuff and had fun going through all the tiny clothes that she never used before.  Life is settling down a little around here but just a little.
